Castello di Querceto

The Francois family, among the founders of the Chianti Classico Consortium, has been making wines since 1897 at Querceto Castle in Greve in Chianti.

In these green and cool hills, mainly Sangiovese is grown, flanked by many other varieties, both native and international, such as Canaiolo Nero, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Colorino, Merlot, Mammolo, Ciliegiolo and Malvasia Nera. This is how the great Chianti Classico and Chianti Classico Riserva are born, as well as the winery's wide variety of Crus, each with their own distinct personality.
