Villa Albius

The latest addition to the Gruppo Mezzacorona family, Villa Albius is the group's second investment in Sicily. Established in March 2003, Villa Albius Sarl acquired a 621 hectare agricultural estate in Acate, located in the province of Ragusa.
The estate lies 15 to 100 m above sea level and enjoys a maritime influence from the sea just 3 km away. Villa Albius produces indigenous varietals such as Nero d'Avola, Inzolia, Grillo, Frappato, as well as, international varietals such as Chardonnay and Syrah.
Once owned by the famous, noble families: i Biscari, gli Enriquez and i Lanza Filingeri, Villa Albius has deep historical roots. To this day, part of a summer residence, once used by local nobility, is still visible and dates back to the 17th century.
